The Museum of Antioquia
The Museum of Antioquia is the most important museum in Medellin, and one of the best known of Colombia. It was first founded in the department of Antioquia, the second in the country. Collections rest in the center of Medellin, facing the Botero square, near the ParqueBerrio metro station. In front of the main entrance of the Museum of Antioquia in 7 thousand square meters, it is displayed permanently and in public places, 23 sculptures by Fernando Botero.
The “Pueblito Paisa” (Little Town)
The Pueblito Paisa is the representation of a typical Antioquia town of beginnings of XX century. For its composition was thought in the construction of the church, whose white steeple stands tile roofs of mud houses architecture between colonial and vernacular one and two floors, among which is the rectory, the mayor, School, Barber, the "Fonda" bar, the shop and the traditional house.
The Castle Museum
The Castle Museum offers permanent exhibitions of objects in porcelain and glass, stained glass, tapestries, antiques, paintings, sculptures, and others. The building was built around 1930 by architect Nel Rodriguez in such medieval Gothic style of the castles of the Loire in France has a French-style gardens, libraries, showrooms and concert rooms.
Plaza Mayor Medellín Convention and Exhibition is the International Convention and Exhibition Centre. It is located in the area of the Alpujarra. The Palacio de Exposiciones has an area of 50,000 sqm and an indoor exhibition area of 12,000 m² divided into four large pavilions connected by a central hall.
Arvi Park is an eco tourist proposal located in township of Santa Elena, created for the enjoyment of all the local, national and international community. It is an open park developed in land for public use, which by building an organized tourism, consolidates a strategy of preserving and promoting the potentials and strengths of the township, extolling its cultural and environmental wealth.
Parque Explora is an interactive park for the appropriation and dissemination of science and technology with 22 thousand square meters of internal area and 15 thousand public squares. More than 300 interactive experiences, auditorium for 3D projections, an aquarium, a children's room, experimental spaces for all and a temporary exhibition hall, making it the largest project of scientific and technological dissemination and promotion Medellin offers its population.
